Historic Landmarks Commission (HLC)

This Commission is responsible for the oversight of the preservation of the Shepherdstown Historic District. HLC reviews applications for Certificates of Appropriateness as to changes to exterior architectural features of buildings located in the historic district in keeping with the town ordinances and guidelines. All applicants must review the guidelines before applying. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00pm at the Town Hall.
