Taking place on March 31, 2026, the Uniform Drawing for Ballot Position is a public process used to determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on the municipal election ballot.

During the drawing, each candidate is assigned a number, which is placed into a container and randomly drawn by the Town Clerk or Recorder. The order in which the numbers are drawn determines the order of candidate names on the ballot for each office, including Mayor, Recorder, and Town Council.

This process is conducted to ensure fairness and transparency, giving all candidates an equal and impartial placement on the ballot.
