Town of Shepherdstown Seeking Proposals for Downtown Flower Bed Revitalization & Maintenance

The Town of Shepherdstown is requesting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to revitalize and maintain the Town-owned flower beds located throughout Shepherdstown’s downtown commercial district.

The selected contractor will provide landscape design services aimed at enhancing the appearance and long-term health of the flower beds, including soil refurbishment, plant selection and installation, and ongoing maintenance services such as watering and seasonal upkeep.

Town officials noted that the project is intended to support and enhance the overall appearance and vibrancy of the downtown district while reinforcing the important role that streetscape beautification plays in attracting residents, visitors, and shoppers to Shepherdstown’s historic commercial area.

Interested candidates must demonstrate expertise in horticultural practices, plant and tree health, and landscape maintenance, as well as an understanding of the unique character and needs of Shepherdstown’s downtown environment.
