The 2nd-Annual Shepherdstown Pride Parade will take place THIS MONDAY, June 1, at 6pm in downtown Shepherdstown, serving as the centerpiece of a weekend filled with Pride-themed events and community programming throughout town.

(Check out the schedule above for the full offering — which begins TONIGHT with the “Rainbow Rewind 80s/90s Dance Party” at the War Memorial Building, from 8-10pm / 102 E. German St.).

Organizers note that Monday’s parade represents another chapter in Shepherdstown’s illustrious living history—a moment of visibility, joy, and belonging for LGBTQ residents, families, friends, and allies.

The events all weekend long are intended as both a celebration and recognition of the LGBTQ individuals who have long been part of the fabric of the town and the broader community. The parade will represent an opportunity to affirm the importance of gathering openly, expressing identity freely, and continuing to build a more inclusive future.

Notably, the Shepherdstown Gay Pride Parade Information Center will be located at Eclectic (106 German Street). The information center will be open Saturday, May 30, through Monday, June 1, from 12–7pm, offering event information, literature from organizations including Fairness West Virginia and the ACLU of West Virginia, and a calendar of regional Pride events.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to experience the Flag in the Map exhibit, presented through The Gilbert Baker Foundation and ReportOUT. The exhibit explores rainbow flag stories from around the world and will be on display throughout the weekend.
