The Town of Shepherdstown has become aware that some people calling Town Hall's main phone number, (304) 876-2312, may hear a message indicating that the number has been identified as a likely scam.

Please be assured that this message is incorrect. The call will continue to ring through to Town Hall, and staff are able to answer calls as normal.

At this time, the issue appears to affect some mobile phone users only. Calls placed from landline telephones do not appear to be affected.

The Town has contacted its service provider and is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any confusion. If you hear the message, you may safely remain on the line to be connected to Town Hall.
