The 2026 Shepherdstown Municipal Election — What You Need to Know

The 2026 Shepherdstown Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Town Hall, to elect the Town’s Mayor, Recorder, and members of Town Council—each serving a two-year term.

Local elections shape the day-to-day life of Shepherdstown more than any other level of government, and every vote helps guide the future of our community. From public safety and infrastructure to historic preservation, local business support, and the character of our neighborhoods, your participation helps to shape the direction of the town.

Only residents who live within Shepherdstown’s corporate limits are eligible to vote, and we encourage every eligible neighbor to take part. Voting is one of the most meaningful ways to support good governance, strengthen civic stability, and ensure that Shepherdstown remains a vibrant, well-run community for years to come.
